Just a gentle reminder to get out there and make your voice heard! End of Public Service Announcement.

Okay, so. Just in case you didn’t have enough Halloween candy, either from your own stash or from your kid’s, I have a recipe for you. Cookies!

This recipe is from my SIL, and was given to her by her grandmother. She actually packed this recipe in a box of cookies that she mailed me while I was in college, I’m guessing that was about 6 or 7 years ago now. I’m pretty sure I ate all the cookies quickly, then made a new batch. Then ate them. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Ingredients

1 C shortening
1 1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 C flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda

Preheat oven to 375o.
Cream together wet ingredients, then add dry.  Roll dough into balls and then toll balls in 2 Tbs sugar to 2 tsp cinnamon.

Bake for 12 – 15 minutes.
