I knit!

31 Jul
The first of the Marigold socks is complete! I am very happy with it, especially with the cute little picot edging I added. This sock is just way too adorable to end with ribbing, so picot it is! Besides, it’s tight enough on the leg that it doesn’t need ribbing to stay up (it’s almost too tight, I have to struggle to get it over my heel. Anyone know if using sock blockers could help stretch that out?).

I know, I should cast on for the other one right away, to avoid SSS (Second Sock Syndrome, that dreaded disease that leaves many a sock sad and mate-less), but I already have two other single socks that need mates. I’m going back to finish those, and then I’ll come back to the Marigolds. Gotta finish some stuff up, you know, too many projects on the needles as it is!

I also picked up some fabrics today, to make a bag for my niece to take her stuff to day care in. Well, for her Momma to take stuff in, my niece is only 6 months old! Since this is not for me, and I want it to actually hold up, I bought a pattern to follow, rather than making it up on my own. I hope her Momma likes it!

Can’t wait to see how the bag turns out. I was just talking to some moms last night saying I wanted a new one in a different style…maybe I can send some fabric your way??? 🙂

I can’t wait to hear all about your trip and see the pictures. I am feeling better but still tired.

I miss seeing you and everyone!

Love the Marigold socks – Orange is one of my fave colors!!

    See you soon!
